I have been a fan of low-budget science fiction movie for a long time. Living in a small Dutch village when growing up, we were lucky enough to have a video rental store there that had lots of obscure horror and science fiction “direct-to-video” rental VHS cassettes. My fascination for this type of movie undoubtedly started then.
The main focus here will be science fiction. I’m not really a big fan of horror movies anymore, except for some real classics I generally don’t watch that genre nowadays. Still, I might write occasionally about a horror movie (there are a lot of low-budget horror movies out there after all) and perhaps even completely other genres here, but the focus will probably be mostly on sci-fi.
